Etymology: Transformation after νῦ of a Semitic name, cf. Hebr. mēm. Ion. has μῶ for it (Demoχr., Delos IIIa; Schulze KZ 42, 113 = Kl. Schr. 372), like νῶ after ῥω.̃ Cf. Schwyzer 140.
